Feuilles : semblable de Ophioglossum vulgatum, mais beaucoup plu petit. Souvent l'apparence des fronds jumellées
Leaves: : often associated by 2, sometimes 3, wide and generally folded in the gutter. each of the leaves is a fertile spur with a minimum of 10 pairs of sporangia. The connection between the sheet and the corresponding Spur is generally above the level of the soil.
Spores : épi fructifère linéaire, aigu, distique ; spores finement tuberculeuses.
Spores: net-veined; fertile frond shorter than sterile, spike-like, acuminate; sporangia 16-40 each side.
